What does cooking and living traditionally mean?

It means we grow our own food, preserve it and eat seasonally. It means we soak and ferment our grains and leaven them with traditional sourdough starter. It means we take care and pride over the animals we keep for food and companionship. It means we care for our family’s health with organic foods, herbal remedies and traditional wisdom. It means we are reconnecting to the old ways, the ways peoples have lived and thrived for thousands of years. It means we are not buying into the blatant culture of consumerism – We can make our own, build our own, cloth our own and care for our own without corporate influence. It means we have found the true essence of life within our food crops, our chicken’s eggs and our mindfulness. And that true essence is peace, wisdom and love.
